Dit brand

Dit brandDie 88 duisend hektaar wat laat verlede jaar van Thabazimbi tot in Vaalwater afgebrand het, het ons weer bewus gemaak van die geweldige ekonomiese maar beslis ook emosionele skade wat dit tot gevolg gehad het. Ons simpatie lê by al die boere wat soveel skade gely het. Ons storie is maar ’n druppel in ’n groot emmer.

Ons was in Kaapstad vir besigheid toe die nuus van die brande in die media losbars met opskrifte van die jong boer wat oorlede is in die Vrystaat en beelde van vlamme in Limpopo. Ons probeer toe uitvind of ons plaas, wat net buite Vaalwater geleë is, in gevaar is omdat die berig verder gesê het die brand het ‘omgedraai’ en was op pad terug Vaalwater toe.
