WRSA & PHASA meet in Vaalwater on 4 April 2022
WRSA and PHASA held a joint meeting that took place at AWA’s (Africa Wildlife Auctions) auction facilities. Tienie Bamberg and Ankie Stroebel coordinated.
The meeting was opened by Pieter Potgieter, chairman of PHASA. There was a wonderful spirit among the game farmers as most drove to the morning meeting in the rain. Rain fell widely over the Steenbokpan, Gauteng, and Tzaneen area.
Industry well-known Drs Gert Dry and HO de Waal attended the meeting, as well as Dr Paul Booysen who completed his PhD under Dr De Waal.
Richard York was first at the podium and explained how the WRSA online system is going to work. After that, Dr Booysen shared with us his lion Ph.D. study.
Johan de Toit from AWA shared auction statistics over the years and discussed trends.
After the meeting, attendees enjoyed a delicious lunch on the veranda at the Nylstroom hotel. Everyone had a good time and realized the importance of joining hands with other organizations in the same industry.
