WRSA is proud to support Mebela Ya Rona (MYR) at their auctions – as we did recently at their 4th Mebela Ya Rona Hunting & Culling Auction, held on 1 April 2022 at Kedar Lodge, Rustenburg. MYR is a registered primary cooperative that has, since 2016, played a key role in the Provincial Bio-Diversity Transformation Conference led by the North West Department of Rural, Environment and Agricultural Development.
MYR distinctively embraces the Business of Nature that unlocks bio-diversity economic potential whilst advancing transformation. This tells a story of how inclusively people (colours, race, gender, and age) can sustainably use nature (wildlife and plants resources) to battle the ardent challenges of unemployment, poverty, and inequality in South Africa as an exciting developing country and elsewhere.
Strategically, MYR is placed as a global bio-diversity resource, with a footprint in the North West Province of South Africa, to grow the wildlife, bio-trade, and eco-tourism industries to achieve transformation, while building and encouraging investors’ confidence through public-private partnerships. In that regard interventional transformation programs are tailored for the beneficiaries of services, products, and clients.
WRSA assisted with the logistics of the auction, and the Pilansberg RIG will play an even bigger part in supporting our transformation-focussed partner. With true WRSA hospitality, we shared our partnership with Crown National Safari Spice and brought a starter snack of game biltong soup, game cheese sausages and crocodile strips with Crown National sauces. Each guest also received a gift pack of Crown National Safari Spice and throughout the day three lucky draws for Crown National Hampers was held.
