Re-elected unopposed as Blue Bulls Rugby Union President
WRSA extends our warmest congratulations to WRSA Foundation ambassador, Willem Strauss on being re-elected as the President of the Blue Bulls Rugby Union.
“This appointment is not about me, it’s never been. It is about every single blue-blooded person behind the scenes working tirelessly to improve us every day. It’s about the groundsmen and the kitchen staff, the admin office and the medical teams, the partners, sponsors, clubs and especially the fans that stick by us through thick and thin,” Strauss said.
“It’s an absolute honour to be re-elected, and to be unopposed in the process shows me that there are no divides in our camp. It shows me that the people around me back me and believe in our common goals. We are in a good space, but it’s never enough and we need to keep moving forward to get bigger and better, and that’s the only way we can continue to remain one of the leaders in the industry.”

The WRSA Foundation is a non-profit company to assist game ranchers and communities in times of crisis. It also creates a pathway for game ranchers who can aid fellow ranchers and communities. It is in the game ranchers’ nature to offer selfless help when there is an emergency, and this attitude has long been demonstrated spontaneously in the game industry. The Foundation’s focus on support, research, education and the environment, hard work is done to improve the conditions of game ranchers and the entire community in need.
The WRSA Foundation has established a structure with organised fundraising and effective coordination of resources for the benefit of game ranchers and communities affected by disasters and adversity.
