30 January 2023 – Please find below a summary of the latest publication provincial hunting proclamations and/or regulations.
The following provinces hunting regulations remain in force until new regulations are published:
- Eastern Cape
- Free State
- KwaZulu-Natal
- Limpopo
- Northern Cape
North West’s 2018 proclamation remains in force until the new draft is approved.
Western Cape published a hunting notice for 2024 at the end of 2023.
Gauteng: We have received feedback from the Gauteng Department of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment that they have already initiated the process to proclaim an open hunting season for 2024, which must commence beginning of May 2024. We will publish the hunting gazette and alert members in Gauteng as soon as we receive it.
