13 March 2024 – The Department of Forestry, Fisheries, and the Environment (DFFE) has published a Government Gazette notifying the public of the Draft National Biodiversity Economy Strategy.
Members of the public are invited to submit comments within 14 days of publication. Final publication in a national newspaper is still pending, therefore the date of submission is not yet confirmed.

WRSA has formally questioned the truncated timeframe for comments provided in the gazette, and we have also requested the Socio-Economic Impact Assessment Study (SEIS) associated with the reviewed National Biodiversity Economy Strategy.
