Wildlife Ranching South Africa (WRSA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Adri Kitshoff as its new CEO with effect from 1 October 2015 with a possible hand-over time in her current position.
A long and tedious road lies ahead following WRSA’s unsuccessful endeavours to negotiate a game-meat scheme with the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.
Prior to 1652 game in Southern Africa was widespread and could move freely (no fences)…
It is well known by Minister Molewa (DEA), Mr Gwede Mantashe (SG of the ANC) and especially Minister Nkwinti, all of whom we have had discussions with, that WRSA is dedicated to finding a solution to the problem of agricultural development, transformation and land reform.
WRSA formally responded to the draft Threatened or Protected Species Regulations (TOPS) gazetted for public comment by 30 April 2015.
DJ Farmer, part of the DJ Group, utilised Huntex 2015 as a platform to show the wider public market what rare game species actually look like, and the response was overwhelmingly positive.
