Meet Rudi Delport, one of the finalists for WRSA’s Wildlife Rancher of the Year award.Located in Beestekraal, North West Province, Swa-Zulu Game Lodge is a thriving wildlife ranch that started in 2015. With a focus on game breeding, safari experiences, and sustainable game ranching, Rudi and his team are dedicated to wildlife conservation and excellence in the field.WRSA wishes Rudi goodluck with winning the Wildlife Rancher of the Year award

SPIRALHORN SAFARIS – LOUIS VAN BERGEN

Meet Louis van Bergen, one of the finalists for WRSA’s Wildlife Rancher of the Year award.
Located on the border of South Africa and Botswana, Spiral Horn Tours & Safaris CC is renowned for its focus on international hunting, particularly bow hunting. Louis and his team are passionate about wildlife conservation, offering exceptional safari experiences centered around species like springbok, buffalo, eland, and gemsbok.

PIETER KLOPPERS SAFARI – PIETER KLOPPERS

Meet Pieter Kloppers Wildlife, one of the finalists for WRSA’s Wildlife Rancher of the Year award.
Situated against the Soutpansberg near Vivo and Dendron, Pieter Kloppers Wildlife specialises in buffalo, impala, kudu, and many more species that excel in this region. Known for their dedication and hard work in buffalo breeding, the ranch has significantly contributed to improving buffalo genetics in South Africa, strengthening the species’ bloodlines nationwide.

BATIKI GAME – GARTH SAUNDERS

Meet Batiki Game – WRSA Wildlife Rancher of the Year Finalist. Located near Gravelotte in Limpopo, Batiki Game stands as a testament to conservation-driven breeding. Founded in 2014, this operation combines game breeding with ecologically sound practices to create a self-sustaining environment for various species, including sable, kudu, nyala, and impala. The farm balances breeding with natural habitat conservation, aiming to preserve South African wildlife for future generations. WRSA wishes Batiki Game and its dedicated team all the best in the Wildlife Rancher of the Year competition as they continue their important work in wildlife preservation and sustainable management

ZELDA SAFARIS – BEON VAN NIEKERK

Meet Zelda Safaris, one of the finalists for WRSA’s Wildlife Rancher of the Year award.

Founded in 1938 by Beon van Niekerk’s grandfather and later expanded by his father, Zelda Safaris began as a cattle farm before Beon transitioned it to wildlife farming in 1997. Located about 300 km east of Windhoek and just 20 km from the Botswana border, Zelda Safaris has grown into a premier destination for hunting, combining a rich family legacy with a commitment to sustainable wildlife management.

MATLABAS RESERVE 

Meet Matlabas Reserve, one of the finalists for WRSA’s Wildlife Rancher of the Year award.
Established in 2014, spans an impressive 32,000 hectares and is home to a diverse range of African wildlife. While primarily a conservation reserve, Matlabas also offers guests an immersive experience with the rich biodiversity of the African bush. Under Nicky’s leadership, the reserve remains dedicated to preserving wildlife and maintaining the natural beauty of the area.

GREATER MUNNIK

Meet Greater Munnik Conservancies, one of the finalists for WRSA’s Wildlife Rancher of the Year award.
Situated in Munnik, about 70 km from Tzaneen, Greater Munnik Conservancies is part of a larger conservation area, bordering neighboring conservancies. In addition to their Munnik location, they also operate a wildlife ranch in Mooketsi, spanning a combined total of approximately 17,500 hectares. Their commitment to conservation and wildlife management is evident across this vast area.
